This is a beautiful setting of the second movement of the Suite Francaise. At the beginning the melody is accompanied by chords using harmonics and open strings wherever possible. In the second half the accompaniment consists of a running pizzicato line that is passed around among the parts. This arrangement is more difficult than the Bourree d’Auvergne but not as challenging as the Chanson de Bresse.
