This piece is an original composition for eight cellos commissioned with support from the Wisconsin String Teachers Association and the Fox Valley Arts Alliance. This excellent work utilizes both soaring melodies and fast-paced jazzy rhythms to make a very unique and exciting cello ensemble. The parts are equal in difficulty, except for the first cello solo part, which travels into treble clef. “Eagle Feathers” is very interesting and quite successful in performance.
