This is an original composition by the Swiss composer Daniel Kreder. It very effectively utilizes the beautiful sonority of the cello. It also has some fast, lively, exciting moments. Though the piece is not very easy, neither is it so hard as to limit its use to professional groups. Intermediate – advanced student groups should find this piece successful. This piece is a welcome addition to the ever-expanding repertoire of original works for cello ensemble.
