National Cello Institute Covid safety protocols for
June 25-July 1, 2023

Vaccination/Testing:
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required for NCI 2023. NCI recommends testing prior to arrival at Pomona College.

Masking:
Participants who are unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask in indoor settings.

Food Service:
Participants at NCI will follow all building and facility guidelines as provided by Pomona College pertaining to COVID-19 while inside the dining hall. Unvaccinated participants will be able to remove masks to eat and drink in the dining facility.

Contact Tracing:
If a participant becomes symptomatic, they will be tested for COVID-19. If COVID-19 positive, that participant will be asked to leave Pomona College if they are able.  If not able, they will be quarantined away form others and attended to by our staff until they test negative or are taken away form Pomona College by a designated family member.  NCI will contact all persons who have been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive participant and will COVID-19 test them if and when they become symptomatic.

Signage or communication that will be distributed to guests regarding safety protocols:
NCI will inform participants of our safety protocols in the “Registration Information” they are given at check in and by verbal announcement.
